The Light That Passes Through

When you pull the curtain back

and clean the glass

the window doesn’t have to try

it just lets the light come through

sometimes it is so clear

that you can’t tell what is outside

from what is inside

where window stops

and light begins

this is how to live in wonder

There are no good windows

no bad windows

just windows

and the Light That Passes Through

No one window is more or less worthy

more or less capable

of doing what it’s designed to do

don’t stop at the curtain

at some point

this is where you play

at the windowsill,

moving in and out
